For as far back as I can remember, I have always loved being “behind the lens”. Starting at a very young age with my dad, who let me take out his Minolta SLR to capture and record life around me, I quickly fell in love with the medium and I continued my passion throughout my early years and into high school.
What soon became an obsession led me to pursue an Honours Degree in Studio Art from the University of Guelph, where I studied fine art photography, and was also free to apply my love of photography to other media that I worked with, including printmaking, media studies, and sculpture.
After I graduated, I went on to The University of Western Ontario to study and earn my Bachelor of Education for Visual Art. For the past 10 years since then, I have been happily teaching Visual Art at Trafalgar Castle School to absolutely wonderful and talented students year after year and am continuing to take photography courses and find inspiration to fuel my love of the still image.
Every day, I try to grow in my ability to capture and record life as it moves by so quickly! I have experienced so much love and support from my family and friends in this most recent journey to develop my photography business and am incredibly thankful for everything they have done to get me to this point. I am so excited for all that the future holds and for all the families, children, babies and people that I will someday have the opportunity to photograph!
